Total annual cost of other substitute material such as Eagle pitcher superglass board, Kaowool Roll board and kaowool mill board will be approximately same as the asbestos mill board. The increased cost to I&M, if ceramic board is used*will be approximately $3700. As you are aware, the asbestos dust is a serious health hazard and OSHA has stringent requirements for control of dust. Asbestos mill board is the No.l culprit and its use must be discontinued immediately. In our opinion, the cost impact is insignificant considering the risks involved.
