Attached is letter re-lead for Y.P.F. Bolivia for aviation.
This is definitely a case of not having a choice o& medical representative
and at the moment I -cannot see any other solution than that which I have
indicated if we wish to go along with them.
cannot use lead to make
their aviation gasoline they will have to import^lt^^oia Perd at a tremen
dous cost.

T.P.F. Bolivia wish to biend aviation gasoline at Camiri and srme c-ars ago issued an order for 10 drums through Mr. MOhring at the Bolivian Legation
acre m Buenos Aires, oinoe then i. have discussed l4e various problems involved witn ISr. iibhring, correspondence and wires have b^en\xclianged with La ?az and Ca-

tructed onto the plant if this/is ih^cseaxy - I have assured him it will be necessary.
Camiri it aboutN^Sg,jremote a place as can be imagined and it will
undoubtedly be neccss&rv to acceplTthe doctor stationed there if we wish to coope rate with then to aa*.<a^osihie their aviation gasoline. The only town of my size
in "olivia where a doltor accroaching our requirements might be found is La Paz and it i; an expedition aiffly. ^jyeviousay I had arranged that the blender wouiu go to iho Standard camp at ?e&ul but of course that io out ndvr. It would be ny sug
gestion that we not attempt to name this man as a medical representative but that Frl Kehoe write bin explaining what examinations are required and request a report from him. This I know is not accepted procedure but seems indicated at least tem orarily. f'uite possibly the only man fit to do the work will be the superintendant
ih:o fiuioamentally id sound in mind and body.
Regarding the transportation, the Fluid will have to be sent to Pucnos Aires. I hay promised to supervise the shipment from boat to train where it will go directly to the Argentine-Bolivian border at Yacuiba where the shipment . .ill be. met by a truck sent from the refinery with a man to supervise the shipment
to Camiri.
Pue to the work involved, X.P.F. deoiced to increase their order to 20 drums - they estimate thi3 as a years supply.
I shall try to get to La Paz and Camiri sometime soon to check on the ."'rk, !*f iho arrangement viorks out satisfactory I believe it will be easy to con vince them of the merits of lead for their motor gasoline also - although this will not be much.
Attached is their order for the twenty drums in question,/J I
