The study is being carried out by Tabcrshaw Cooper Associates, Inc. and is being coordinated through Manufacturing Chemists Association. Enclosed is recent correspondence regarding how they would like to determine which terminated employees have died so ti>at they can then go about determining cause of death thru public records. I have discussed this with Dr. Forbes, hr. Lowell and Mr. Gordon Anderson. All are in agreement chat the proposed form letter is satisfactory. We feel that ' the approach through credit agencies and drivers license bureaus would - be too expensive and would not be very effective. .. Inasmuch as X have already held this up because 1 was out of the office, I would appreciete your prompt attention so that we will not unduly delay this study. It sounds like it could become very complicated and very expensive. UNIROYAL has no commercial Interest in the beverage con tainer market. I believe further that ecological concerns may continue to plague the PVC bottle program and inhibit growth even if this feeding study proves that residual VCM is not a problem. fir**' R.
