From: Baum, Kristina R [mailto:BAUMK@cpchem.com] Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2017 1:26 PM To: Jackson, Ryan <jackson.ryan@epa.gov> Subject: Nov. 10 VIP Event - Commissioning Newest Chemical Facility (Chevron Phillips) Hey Ryan! Hope you are doing well! We're interested in inviting Administrator Pruitt to attend a VIP event we're holding on Nov. 10 at our Sweeny/Old Ocean, TX facility. The celebration is to mark our full downstream plastics operation and brand new unit as up and running. This is an excellent event to message TSCA implementation, the industry voluntarily taking initiative to lower emissions (the new unit as the most up to date technology with all the bells and whistles), energy jobs, the growing energy sector, the importance of worker safety (as Chevron Phillips boasts an impressive worker safety record), and of course - resilience of the industry to bounce back from Hurricane Harvey. The event will begin at 10 am CT and a VIP tour of the new facility will be offered to a select group at 9:00 am CT. We'd love for Administrator Pruitt to give remarks for five to seven minutes (length of time is subject to change - may be longer) as 300 Chevron Phillips employees will be filling the audience. We'll serve light food/beverages for attendees. The entire event will be done by 11:00 CT. There will be a short time between the conclusion of the tour at 9:45 am CT and the beginning of the event for meet and greet time with senior executives of Chevron Phillips Chemical, Chevron Corporation, and Phillips 66. We'll have a step and repeat in a holding area for photos and any media interviews Pruitt would like to do. Of course, the opportunity for a gaggle is available before and after the event. 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. EPA ED_001523B_00003699-00002 Other VIPs we are inviting are: Secretary Rick Perry (DoE), Secretary Alexander Acosta (DoL), Sen. John Cornyn, Sen. Ted Cruz, Chairman Kevin Brady, Rep. Brian Babin, Rep. Randy Weber, and Gov. Greg Abbott. Do you think Pruitt would be able to attend? Thanks, and let me know if you need anything else from me! We'll have a more formal invitation to follow.
