Washington DC 20460 Re: Invitation: Texas Industry Project Quarterly Meeting Dear Bill: We would like to extend the invitation that you j oin us as the guest speaker at the September 6, 2017 quarterly meeting of the Texas Industry Project (TIP) in Houston, Texas. TIP is a 64-member coalition of companies in the chemical, refining, oil and gas, oilfield services, electronics, forest products, terminal and electric power industries with operations in Texas. TIP develops industry consensus positions on current policy issues involving air quality. TIP spans a broad array of viewpoints and allows us to hammer out broad consensus positions rather than focusing on the needs of one industry sector. We would be pleased to share our perspectives with you. For example, members with operations in Houston are proud of their work with Texas and EPA in bringing about dramatic improvements in air quality, including the successful integration of a cap-and-trade for highly reactive VOCs. That plan, developed and advanced by local industry, served as the key to attaining the 125 ppb and the 84 ppb ozone standards, and as the basis for an approvable attainment demonstration for the 75 ppb standard. Members would be pleased to share perspectives on strategies that work, and could be applied elsewhere. The meeting will be on the 32nd floor of One Shell Plaza which is located at 910 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston, Texas. Our guest typically arrives here at One Shell at 11:15-11:30, joins us for lunch (hot cajun cuisine) followed by brief remarks in a roundtable format, then a dialogue on current issues. We are usually finished by 1:15, so that our guest can make an afternoon flight. The meeting is attended by 60-80 representatives of companies. It not open to the public. We would love to have you join us. Last year, Mandy Gunasekara came down, and it was very productive. If the date does not fit, we have not yet met Clint Woods, and would welcome the opportunity to host Clint. Active 38199857.1 Sierra Club v.
