TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL LEAD
i have reviewed each of your four manuscripts and, except for a few minor editing comments, these are now ready for publication in technical journals. The data used in these studies were part of our environmental studies in support of lead business and by this memo, I am approving release of this information for publica tion.
As discussed with you, I believe the Journal Archives of Environmental Health would be most suitable for publica tion of the reports on relationship between blood lead and air lead and the development of an air quality standard.
The proposed article, '"Development of Air Quality Standards for Lead from Committee Studies," I believe, would be quite appropriate for the Environmental Science Technology Journal, while your paper, "Further Analysis of the Silver Valley Lead Studies," should be submitted to the Journal of the Air Pollution Control Association. The final article, "Models for the Relationship Between Blood Lead and Air Lead," I leave up to your decision in terms of journal for publication, since this article is more statistically oriented than the other three.
I am very pleased that you have prepared these reports and look- forward to seeing their publication.
