Coordinated a visit for an OSHA contractor to visit the LCCP and review the Ethoxylation Unit operations in relation to EtO short-term exposures. 2. Tom Grumbles attended the Annual CSMA Regulatory Conference. 3. Reviewed the past toxicity testing results for ALFONIC 1618-65 t to determine what further testing would be recommended to resolve the question of low dermal LD_q results seen in 1977-78 testing. 4. Joe Ledvina made a presentation to the Environmental Auditing Roundtable in Washington on Vista's approach to auditing contractor waste disposal facilities. 5. The Environmental Audit Manual was completed. 6. Joe Ledvina gave testimony on behalf of CMA's EDC panel at an EPA hearing regarding future regulation of EDC air emissions. EPA is also working toward air standards for ethylene oxide and butadiene. 7. M. M. Goodreau attended Lexis/Nexis training. 8. Issued the latest revisions to the State and Federal Environmental regulations to all plants. 9. Completed the draft copy of the Premanufacture Notification for CATAPAL XD Alumina. Will issue for review next week. 10. Based on a customer inquiry and information from Keller and Heckman regarding FDA policy, inaccuracies in the technical bulletin, ALFOL Alcohols Uses as Direct and Indirect Food Additives, were discovered.
