The purpose of this bulletin is to outline our procedures for Food and Drug Chemicals. 2. Our operations should be in accord with applicable parts of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, Amendments to the FDC Act, Federal Regulations and similar state laws and regulations. 3. Procedures for plant registration and inspections are covered in PPM 4QP10. 4. Good Manufacturing Practices for Drugs form part of the FDC. Act. Food and drug products will be designated as such on the Manufacturing Specification by including the following terms with the product flame; Drugs: U.S.P., N.F., PD & C and D&C Color Additives or drug grade Foods: Food Grade, Food Chemicals Codex Grade or FD & C Color Additives. 6. For products so designated the District Sales Manager may sign for customers an FDA guaranty letter in the form attached hereto. Before a guaranty letter can be issued for other products, the/proper specification must be/established. 7.
