AB 1 Cinpathogen, Inc. 2 Second Quarter of 2007 Milestones on the Critical Path 3 The Shanghai Health Study 4 5 6 7 Summar~ 8 9 The study extension effectively began in January 2007 with anticipated completion within 10 a two year period and we are now approximately 4.5 months into this project. Although 11 significant progress has been made the laboratory has been without funds for this time, 12 and all operations have stopped. Since emergency funds were received just this week, 13 we can now begin to honor our obligations. However, we estimate these funds will 14 probably not cover back pay, all of our encumbrances and pay laboratory expenses 15 going forward through June. 16 17 The immediate workscope is divided into 5 major tasks. The significant milestones on 18 the critical path expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2007 are shown in 19 the table below. 20 21 22 23 Milestone Description 24 1. Pay back salaries and satisfy accumulated obligations, restore laboratory and EA 25 operations, and re-establish relationships with Shanghai hospitals. 26 2. Update estimates of AML and NHL for 20 with documented informed consents 27 and work history questionnaire administration. 28 3. Reestablish case accrual at participating Shanghai Hospitals and monitor 29 participation to extent possible. 30 4. Reestablish necessary EA activities for continued development of the EA matrix. 31 5. Continue to work with Dr. Judy Baldwin to develop procedures in support of 32 OA/OC for CC/DP studies. 33 34 35 36 Assum[!tions 37 38 The schedule and expected milestone completions are subject to a number of internal 39 and external influences, some of which can neither be projected nor controlled by the 40 study manager and/or the study team. Our schedule for this study is based upon the 41 following assumptions: 42 43 * Additional required funding is available and provided prior to a second closure of the 44 laboratory brought about by a lack funds. 45 * The laboratory is successful in re-establishing normal operating relationships with 46 participating Shanghai hospitals within a month. This may prove to be overly optimistic 47 given the lack of timely funding. 48 * There is no scenario that can reasonably be expected to result in a successful 49 conclusion if laboratory and field operations are terminated a second time due to the 50 absence of required funds. 51 * There are no other unforeseen obstacles.
