Dear Dr. Austin: I am describing herein the type of case from which I should like to obtain tissues for analysis, should such cases come into your hands* (a) I wish to determine the distribu tion of lead in perfectly normal subjects who have come to their death quickly from accidental causes, and who do not have any associated disease or associated patho logic process which might be responsible for modifying the normal distribution of lead in the tissues# I pre fer to have normal healthy males, not beyond middle life*, (b) I have been looking for some time for a lead worker engaged in any of the lead occupations at the time of his death. Here too I wish to have tis sues from an individual who has died quickly from acci dental causes, and who does not show any gross patholog ic processes except such as might be expected to be as sociated with lead absorption in a mild degree of lead intoxication. (c) In addition to the above cases, which will undoubtedly give us the most difficulty, I should be glad at any time to have tissues for analysis on persons who have died either as result of lead poi soning, or in whom lead constituted a contributory fac tor. Believe me, I shall appreciate very much any help you can give me in obtaining tissues from per sons of the above described types.
