Purpose o f the M eeting: Per the A dm inistrator's interest in Cummins' engine technology, to discuss natural gas, diesel and other alternative fuel truck engines and technology Background on the M eeting: On W ednesday, September 20th, principals from the T ruck and Engine M anufacturer's Association m et w ith A dm inistrator P ru itt to discuss the Phase 2 fuel efficiency rule for commercial vehicles, and a future low-NOx rulemaking to aid states in their attainment goals. Cummins' CEO, Tom Linebarger, discussed having the Adm inistrator visit Cummins' headquarters in Indiana to see our natural gas engine test facility, as well as our other advanced technology options. Adm inistrator Pruitt asked us to follow up on our request. W e also have a state of the art test facility to help us study engine emissions. Role of the A dm inistrator: The Administrator would be our guest on a tour of our Cummins Technical Center, and would meet with our senior leaders to learn more about our technological capabilities and how we achieve and exceed emissions requirements.
