... we loaded some cargo, reporting that trailer manufacturers are asking an appellate j||l court to stay all portions of EPA's greenhouse gas rule for medium- and heavy-duty |||| trucks that apply to trailers, arguing that the agency's reconsideration of those provisions while refusing to stay them ahead of a looming compliance deadline irreparably harms them.
Speaking of transportation, the Federal Highway Administration says it will resume implementing an Obama-era rule requiring states to track GHGs from national highways, in response to separate litigation by environmentalists and states that charged the agency violated the Administrative Procedure Act by suspending the rule.
|j||Staying in court, environmentalists and ExxonMobil are planning settlement talks that |j|j| lllfcould narrow or even resolve a novel suit claiming that federal waste and water
permitting laws require the oil and gas giant to adapt its Massachusetts oil terminal to j|i|the effects of climate change, after a judge largely rejected Exxon's motion to dismiss j|||the case.
