Specifically, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in reviewing the attached stakeholder list and providing any suggestions related to UK and Netherlands government entities that would be interested and/or should be consulted. Also, please advise on how extensively you would like to participate in this effort. I am providing background information on the study as well as project management issues for your review and consideration. Regards, Lauren Background: Shell Chemical is contributing to a joint study in Shanghai that aims to better define the risks from exposure to benzene as part of ongoing product stewardship and safety and health programs. The consortium sponsors include BP, ChevronTexaco, Conoco and ExxonMobil. The consortium members have asked that Shell and BP develop a position/strategy for stakeholder engagement. Given the consortium's request and our need to coordinate internally, Chemicals established a small group within Shell to coordinate on stakeholder engagement strategy. This small internal Shell group met over a telcon to discuss how best to coordinate on this internally. Action items included the following: Revise stakeholder list - to incorporate stakeholders suggested by BP and the Consortium Consult UK/Netherlands Shell government affairs to ensure government entities are included Categorize stakeholders according to "sector" e.g. labor, government, NGO, industry, etc Hold a second conference call to further discuss Shell's position on stakeholder engagement SH ELL-MCCLU RG-0677S6  Hold a workshop with BP to develop stakeholder engagement recommendations, to be provided to the consortium.
