As a result of that meeting x was referred to visit a r. noward Ami of the national bureau of Standards for the purpose of a test program of sprayed materials whioh is presently getting underway* Mr* Ami is to test various samples of sprayed material in a Ro-tap machine to achieve a standard for approval. This is preliminary to a test in a machine as described in the attached for "Dusting", Page 6 thru rage 8* The apparatus covered In this Guide Spec* is on order for the wBS to use* Should you agree, X feel we should send Mr. Aral our imfe. on Ro-tap; however, he is now talking about running the machine for approx. 24 hours, to establish some standard, be has requested samples of blaze, Sound, and neat Shield for testing, i also suggested Sound Shield "85". The samples should be 12" square, and two of each. You may want to include sheet rock backing and/or Cello foam backing. He will cut them to fit an: 8" screen. Please contact me when these are ready as I feel W we could better ship them on a truck of CAFCO rather than subject them to normal shipping abuse. The standard setup will be for the Tri-Service Group (Army Navy - Air Force). Wilkins and Armstrong Contracting are sending samples for test. Frank, you may want to visit with Mr. Ami since this could be very beneficial for all Government Agencies (GSA in particular).
