The survey film is used merely as a screening device for the detection of significant abnormalities in the lungs. In order to confirm or deny the tentative diagnosis, it is necessary that all persons whose survey film in dicates the presence of a significant abnormality, either tuberculous or non-tuberculous, have 14 x 17 diagnostic x-rays and other clinical studies as indicated. All such persons have been notified of their conditions and asked to return to either their private physicians or one of the County Tuberculosis Clinics for further study.
