Kehoe Medical Collage, University of Cincinnati Cincinnati, Ohio IN RS M.A. 487894 Dear Dr. Kehoe: The above named claimant, Mr. is referred to you for examination and report to determine whether or not his present condition and disability are the result of lead poisoning from the use of tetraethyl gasoline. The claimant was engaged in garage work and it was his custom to wash the automobile parts in gasoline to remove the grease and dirt. He now claims that ethyl gasoline was used for this purpose. His disability dates ba.ck to April 18, 1932, at which time he noticed a sudden loss of function of one arm and shoulder while installing a rear exle beneath a truck. This was at first thought to be an injury from torn muscles and ligaments and his claim was so filed. Later a diagnosis of multiple neuritis was made and this seemed to have involved other parts of the body resulting in total disability. The claim has recently been brought to the attention of the Commission without a definite diagnosis. There is no proof of any exposure to lead other than above mentioned. The claimant's address is Mark Center, Defiance County, Ohio, and we are advising him that you will write to him telling him when and where to report to you for this examination.
