The size of these samples need not be large, as I will be working at concentrations of 1 10 ppb. I am currently investigating the effects of PCB's on phytoplankton for the Hew York State Dept, of Environmental Conservation and I suspect that some data produced in the early 70's may overestimate the toxicity of PCB's to phytoplankton.
