Mr. Brick1s letter of February 15 in acknowledgement to your letter is attached. We would like to supplement Mr. Brick's letter by giving you some addi tional background concerning this case. In the event our first report to you may not be available or by some chance may not have come to your attention, we are attaching copies of my letter to you of January 20, with which we included the attached copy of Mr. Brick's report of January 18. The information contained in Mr. Brick's report of January 18, described the first and only conversation with M r . ' ^ m Within the last day I had an occasion to speak to Mr . Brick about some other matters, so I again questioned him about this particular situation. He very definitely did not send ..r.^ K f c t o Dr. Smith, nor did he suggest to that he be examined for lead poisoning. As a matter of fa c t ^ n ^ n e n t i o n of Dr. Smith was made at the time of Mr. Brick's only c o n v e r s a t i o n w i t h I s indicated in Mr. Brick's report, he only suggested to that either he or his physician communicate directly with you regarding any questions. It was both Mr. Brick's and our understanding that this was the prope^procedure and in keeping with policies of the corporation. It would appear that misinterpreted Mr. Brick's statement and proceeded on his own accord to have Dr. Smith make the above mentioned examination.
