North Kansas City North Kansas City Weekly letter for week ending 3/30/4.6 April 2, 1946 Dear Dons - Monday was occupied in the Kansas City office. Tuesday I was called to the Phillips Refinery, Kansas City, Kansas to discuss the natter of residue in their motor fluid weigh tank. They have approximately 3000 pounds which they can not remove. Phillips in Kansas City are currently facing a suit by a former employee who alleges that ha contracted lead'poisoning. Their company attorneys were present at the refinery on Tuesday and at the request of Mr, Eogk, refinery superintendent, I talked with these gentlemen. Friday to northern Missouri to interview Mr. L. . Hedges, travelingsforeman for-Sinclair Refining Company and Mr. Harry Watts, traveling foreman for Standard Oil Company. I was unsuccessful in con tacting Mr. Watts,,but I did see Mrs, Hedges and discussed the hazards cf tank entries with him. This man formerly engaged in this work far Standard of Indiana and others up until the past three years, during which he has been engaged in other activities.
