FIT-TESTING CYCLE CHANGE Currently for employees needin* respirator fit-testing, there are two time period cycles: the six-month cycle and the two-year cycle. Employees are scheduled for testing at the Medical Department to correspond with these periods. Scheduled separately from this testing is the regular two-year Health Surveillance testing. Measures have recently been taken to align the two-year fit-testing cycle with the employee two-year Health Surveillance schedule. This realignment will save time for the employees, schedulers, superintendents, and Medical Department personnel. To accomplish this change, we must have the cooperation of all personnel involved. The schedulers need to set up appointments so that the respirator fit-testing and the Health Surveillance exam can be done at the same time. The employees must realize that the period between testings will not be the same until they are in line with their Health Surveillance cycles. Ue appreciate your cooperation. T. E.
