Dear Mr. Mitchell: In response to your inquiry, I an informed by the physician treating Mrs. Bessie Wade that the nature of he:- treatment in the hospital is essentially that used in the treatment of presumptive tuberculosis, that is bed re3t and full diet. Under this treatment her condition is improving. She has gained weight and her couli has decreased. As to trie probable dute of her return to work, I an informed that this prospect is somewhat indefinite but that is likely that she will be able to return to some form of work within a few months. Whether she should return to her previous employ;,tent Is a n tter Of considerable question wit.i her physician. Her recovery he considers problematical, that is so far as a complete return to normal Is concerned. At least he considers tnat it is impossible to be definite about that at this time. A final diagnosis has not been made at this tine. I am informed that it is probably not tuberculosis but fibrosis of the lungs from exposuie tj asbestos dust.
