It certainly was nice to hear from you by way of your letter of April 25, 1961, and to learn of your willingness to undertake the revision of the APHA report, "Occupational Lead Exposure and Lead Poisoning." I advised Mr. Francis B . Elder of APHA, in a letter dated May 3rd, and recommended that your offer be accepted. A copy of this letter was sent to you.
I now have the report of the action taken by
the APHA Committee on Evaluation and Standards.
They "moved and voted to advise the Occupational
Health Section of endorsement by E & S of the idea
of revision and to urge prompt action, including in
the report appropriate reference to hazards of lead
to children." This clears the deck for action and
we now are counting on you to proceed with this
