Richards; and G. J. Williams, as new members on the 0!iittee and stated that Mr. A. R. Ludlow, jr. of U. S. Industrial ''eraicals Co., a fourth new member, could not attend because of illness 11 the family. These new members are appointed for a three-year term. %tics Financial Package The Secretary stated that actual expenditures in the last fiscal ?ar were close to the estimates supplied in earlier reports. A surplus ,'$8,278.00 (original estimate $5,320.00) was due mainly to certain 9es at NBS being carried over into the new year. Appendix A is the report on expenditures vs budget for 1967-1968. On the general evaluation of the Weatherability Program, a comprehensive statement had been prepared by Mr. H. W. Mason, Jr. allowing review within his own organization; permission was obtained for this to be circulated to members of this Committee and to the Steering Comnuttee* See Appendix B. cpptember Conference This session, scheduled for Seaview Country Club, will be jub]ect to restrictions on attendance to the same degree as was necessary at Oyster Harbors in the past. The Committee recommended that this be announced to the membership during the Group dinner meeting June 6. On subjects of interest for the business meeting, it was pointed out that speakers on economics, such as Dr. Pierre Rinfret or Hr. Ira Ellis, were very popular and might again be considered. The recent presentation by Modern Plastics Magazine on industrial growth over the next 10 or 15 years and possibly a speaker from the Magazine taff, such as Mr. Van Boskirk, was also mentioned as a possibility. Hembers who attended the recent SPI West Coast Meeting commented very favorably on these presentations and on a film concerned with solid waste disposal. Isocyanates - U.S.P.H. Conference The Committee was alerted on an Occupational Health Program conference scheduled for June 10 and 11 in Cincinnati. Members concerned Wlth isocyanates and/or polyurethane plastics were advised of this feting in January, 1968. - Combustion Products Following consultation, General Decker for MCA and Messrs, f.pitz,er and Nantz for the Committee, the MCA will be represented by H. Carman in a meeting concerned with pyrolysis of polyvinyl chloride biological effects of the products on July 9 at the National Center r Urban and Industrial Health in Cincinnati. Representatives from ei9ht interested member companies are also expected to participate. CMA 015513
