Anstey gets a lot of tough jobs, like the 600 pound laundry agitator cast ing illustrated here. One-package BARONITE has reduced mulling time, delivery, handling, storage and muller feeding problems by replacing four separate materials. Production has in creased because of an appreciable de crease in finishing time. Anstey finds castings poured in BARONITE sand hold their dimension and produce high quality casting de tail. Excellent shakeout is attained with both green and dry sand molds. BARONITE bonded sands produce better casting surfaces because lower moisture requirements -- 3.0-3.5 % -- permit use of finer grain sand. Less smoke and odor are produced than with ordinary sand mixes. BARONITE is being used success fully in foundries throughout the coun try.
