C MINUTES OP ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PLASTICS GROUP THE GREENBRIER, WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. VA. June 9, 1955 Attendance List Attached. Following dinner, Mr. C. B. Branch, Chairman of the Plastics Committee, called the meeting to order and welcomed the many mem ber representatives who were participating with this Plastics Group for the first time. PLASTICS COMMITTEE In keeping with the Terms of Reference for the Plastics Commit tee activities, the Board of Directors that day had approved the appointment of Messrs. J. C. Richards, Jr. of B. P. Goodrich Chemi cal Co., John F. Snyder of Hooker Electrochemical Co., and Spencer E. Palmer of Eastman Chemical Products, Inc. to replace Messrs. M. G. Milliken and G. C. Miller, who had served their two-year ms, and Dr. L. Eckler, who had resigned. UAL REPORT For the Plastics Committee, Chairman Branch gave a brief digest of the activities over the past year as contained in the MCA Annual Report for 1955- Copies of this will be supplied each member of the Plastics Group. FINANCIAL PACKAGE The report on the past year's operations of the Plastics Group Financial Package and a proposed budget had previously been circu lated to all Executive Representatives together with the assessment that would be necessary for that member. The Plastics Committee unanimously recommended adoption of Budget "B" which would finance revision of "Technical Data on Plastics," in addition to continua tion of the research program, membership in three building officials conferences, and a nominal amount for Statement of Principles and contingencies. On motion, duly seconded, the budget was unanimously approved. ********** CMA 078263 Plastics Group Meeting Page 2 Chairman Branch announced to the members that in addition to going off the Plastics Committee; Mr. M. G. Mllliken was shortly retiring from the Hercules Powder Co. His loyal and untiring services to the Plastics Committee and the industry in general were briefly reviewed; and on behalf of his many friends in the Plastics Group, Chairman Branch presented to Mr. Mllliken a sterl ing tray suitably engraved for this occasion. ********** WHEREUPON; adjournment was taken at 900 P.M.
