Payor Subject: Asbestos Non-Production Materials Substitutes Due to increasing concern regarding asbestos usage in the work place, Corporate Staff has recommended that all plants substitute less hazardous non-asbestlform materials for asbestos and its products whenever feasible. An examination of the uses of asbestos containing substances/products within the Rawsonville Plant was conducted by the Plant Engineering Department, In conjunction with the safety engineer, and approved non-asbestiform materials have been found. Attached Is a copy of the asbestiform materials that were used at the Rawsonville Plant and the approved non-asbestos replacement. The Ford Identification Number will remain the same, only the Item Description ' will change. All remaining asbestiform materials on hand will be used, until present Inventories have been depleted. Employees required to work with these materials (cutting, sawing, tearing, etc.) that would cause asbestos fibers to become airborne, must wear respirators, I believe this list covers all areas, if It does not please forward any additional Information to me 60 this list can be kept current.
