Results of the 2nd Quarter Safety and Housekeeping Inspections were discussed. Award winners were: Operating Units Crafts Offices and Service Areas Laboratories Dept. 513 Instrument Shop Stores Control Lab Plaques will be ready by July 15. Presentation will be scheduled with the Plant Manager. Inspection team chairmen noted a significant improvement over the first quarterly Inspection. Almost all items addressed on the first inspection have been corrected. Bicycle Safety - A draft of the proposed new rules is targeted for the end of July. Contractor Safety - A draft of new guidelines is targeted for the end of August. Cooling Tower Fan Brakes - Rufus Baca reported that maintenance was building one brake for test purposes. New Business It was noted during the inspection that some phones do not have fire and spill code labels. Most were in computer service, but could be used to report a fire or spill. A question was raised as to whether or not these phones should be labeled. This will be brought up at the next PMSB meeting. sc 001164 LAM002364 2- - ( Sior&: "Although the lockout procedure does not require it, some areas are using a "Danger, Do Not Use" tag in addition to the locks.
