Gentlemen: Referring to your letter of October 3rd, 1921, requesting that the privilege of using the Anaoonda brand in oonneotion with the sale of Anaoonda White Lead be granted yon under the terms of ths contraot between this Company and The Glidden Company. a* Glidden Company has requested that suah privilege be extended to you. We understand, that your request is based upon that provision of Paragraph 4 of the oontraot between this Company and The Glidden Company,exeonted on the 23rd of Septeafcer, 1921, whioh reads as follows: "In order that any suah subsidiary my beoasM entitled to use any suah inaaanda brand, Glidden must first in writing request that suoh privilege be granted to sash subsidiary and the sub sidiary must likewise in writing request that suoh privilege be granted, and agree that the same shall be held and enjoyed only in aooordanee with the terns and conditions of this agree ment and will be subjeot to termination upon the termination of this agreeres at or the termination for any oause of Glidden's right to make use, in aaoordanee with the terms of this agree ment, of an Anseonda brand, and upon sn express agreement that ths right of suoh subsidiary to make use of suoh a brand shall be disoantlnued at any time upon a written notloe from Glidden to the subsidiary and to Anaoonda requiring that the use be discontinued".
