I want to thank you .and Rob for meeting with Jim and "me'on December 10, 1982 and giving us the opportunity to clarify our present procurement situation"regarding DCP. As stated during our meeting, the two major factors con tributing to such a sharp decrease'in releases is the*.** division's strong position on decreasing inventory and* the poor sales of our finished product. Please be assured; that this decrease in your quantity is percentagely equal to all of our suppliers of DCP. The newly calculated DCP requirement from Monsanto equals approximately 1,000,000 lbs. This purchase order require ment is subject to Monsanto meeting the plant's specifica tion for Dioxin concentration levels. The parameters are approximately 5 PPB for the Mono-Chloro Dioxin Isomer and 10 PPB per isomer for the remaining isomers. A lab analysis of your DCP should ha cent tc,. and coordinated with, Conrad Ham-yell (Lab Manager, Diamond Shamrock Corp., P.O. BoxlH, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35404) , and a copy to myself. If you have any questions regarding the above, please feel free to call. Yours truly, DIAMOND SHAMROCK CORPORATION T. L.
