Box 605 Westlake, LA 70669 Dear Guy: Below please find the test results for chemical resistance on the two core samples taken from our Fabri-Kast furan trenches. There was some question on the degree of chemical resistance between the two.cores. Based on the color variation, Core #1 was completely black whereas Core #2 had some signs of brown tones* The chemical resistance test that Pennwalt lab used was based on ASTM-C-267. The final results show there was no significant difference in chemical resistance between core sample No. 1 and core sample No. 2. It is also observed that both are resistant to chemicals tested. I hope these results set Vista's mind at ease.. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. Procedure: The 4" diameter core samples, as received, were each cut into 4 equal sections. Two pieces of each specimen were placed in 20% Hydrochloric Acid, and two pieces were placed in EDC (100%). All test solutions were at 70F. The test ran for a total of 28 days, with observations made at 7, 14 and 21 days.
