BASF Wyandotte Corporation TO Dr. J. J. Ronayne -----INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM date January 26, 1972 from c. W. Axce subject Asbestos Analyses copies PEArmstrong, RJDeLargey, reference RHarroun, JFHunter, RWMcNab, RSRoth, WTSargeant I do appreciate the restrictions your group is operating under with the loss of a key man. I hope you are able to find a qualified recplacement soon. Frankly, I don't believe an OSHA inspector would be much impressed by the argument that the EPA standard is at opposite ends of the pole. % Phil Armstrong has pointed out a local lab in the Geisrtlar area who are apparently qualified. For the time being I am willing to go the outside lab route -- who does the analysis doesn't matter as much as establishing a testing program to determine where we stand, measure improvements if any are required and monitor the situation thereafter. I suggest we review the question after we have some experience under our belts. CWA:eg F 48 8 BASF Wyandotte Corporation TO Dr. J. J.
