Their operation is fully automatic with controls and safety devices integral with the system. Due to the flexibility of the flame, the "Gilbarco" Burner is enabled to more completely fill the fire box with a heat-giving radiant flame. The boiler, especially designed for oil fuel, is of cast iron, which can be molded into effective types of heat-absorbing surfaces. "A6" series models are completely automatic and the high efficiencies which are attained in the boiler are due to the fact that the heat gases are compelled to be in direct contact with the heat-absorbing surfaces at all times. Net ratings represent the allowable standing cast iron radiation which can be connected to each boiler when the domestic hot water load is as shown at the top of each column.
