Rik, I contacted Matt McMullen of National Medical Services, 800--522--6671, to get information on their test method units. He gave me the following information. Lab reports in units of PPB or nanograms of perfluorooctanoic acid in milliliter of whole blood. They actually analyze one milliliter of whole blood and get the amount of perfluorooctanoic acid (not any salt of the acid). If you have more questions you could call directly to save some time, but I will continue to do whatever you need. Roger. ps., on another subject I would like to talk to someone at Dordrecht who knows exactly what and how much of waste Teflon (r) is landfilled. We are working on recovery of these pounds and wanted to know if it is possible for our contractor to consider salvaging Dordrecht material also.
