'Attachments LTJ:1J IDS 003033 HARTOLDMONOOQ5876 EMERGENCY PROCEDURE In the event of car derailments or other associated traffic acci dents involving Monsanto products, the following procedure goes into effect. 1. The tankcar has mounted on it a label (attached) giving a phone number to call in the event of an emergency. It is the railroad's responsibility to notify Monsanto and also the proper environmental authorities. 2. An organization called Chemtrec has also been supplied with plant numbers to call if they are informed of a transporta tion incident involving our products. Chemtrec was established by the Manufacturing Chemists' Association and is manned round the clock, 365 days a year. Some transportation companies may inform Chemtrec rather than notifying Monsanto directly. 3. This is what happens if a call is received at (618) 271-5835, our Sauget, Illinois plant number, during the day: a. Our Production Planning Superintendent takes the call and relays the pertinent facts to our Materials and Services Manager in St. Louis. b. He informs our customer Order Processing personnel and they Immediately call the customer. 4. This is what happens if a call is received during the night: a. The Night Superintendent takes the call and relays the pertinent facts to the first one of the following he contacts: (i) Products Acceptability Manager (11) Manager of Manufacturing (111) General Production Superintendent b. The first contact reached gives any instructions neces sary and then notifies Marketing Management.
