Oils Resins Rosin
It is important that the extra stocks of oils and, resin be cleaned up.as quickly, as possible. Mr. Davis report that the use of rosin in paper, paste, estergum,'andT^b'S^. lacquers is increasing and that the price may improve"' soon. Ur. Davis expects to dean up our supply by ' ; August 31st - after the OPA has established prices. .-V OPA has asked for a special gum report by July 15.

Sales for the week totalled $77,343, and 430,768 pounds were manufactured. Of this amount 158,000 pounds were used by our factories. Sales policy until further notice will be to secure all orders possible in view of the improved castor situation.

Containers
A ceiling price has been established by OPA for the purchase of returned pails (See Federal Register of June 6, 1942). Ko action will be taken on this for tha time being as we do not wish to make such purchases until later. lr. Coolidge reports that circles for gallons and quarts are waste plate and can be used for fiber tops and bottoms. Messrs. Mills, Baldwin, and Reese are to set up records showing our consumption of the allowable plate area and Mr. Davis will attempt to biy up waste plate elsewhere if it can be obtained. Linseod Oil containers on hand are not to be used for oil bscausa of the need for this area as paint cans. Tin may not be used a3 tops on glass containers.

Mr. Davis reported the poaaibtlity that we would be . entirely out of the shellac business because of the limited supply and the necessary reserve for priority business. Mr. Davis is checking further on this.

Aluminum Bronze Powder
Our stock on hand totals about $30,000 and Messrs. Ueacham and Coolidge are asked to check locally and -S. in Washington regarding the proper procedure for our disposing of this material.

11388 - STORE STOCKSt Ur. Baldwin reported that our penalty plan is in operation and Mr. Krimbill has advised all store managers that obsolete merchandise on hand will be writtin off or down substantially at the end of the year. Every effort will be made to have clean stocks by that time.
11389 - SOHiaiES; . In order to keep store stocks.to a minimum under present conditions, arrange-, msnts are to be made by Ur. Davis and the Stores Department whereby orders or requisitions for materials on the "Where To Buy It* list will be placed through Cleveland instead of direct with the supplier as heretofore. Certain informa
tion may be requested with such-orders - i.e. - record of previous sales, etc.
11390 - XSU TOMB* Texas and the three West Coast districts are to be stocked with Kem-Tone as soon as possible. The coastal districts will receive about 75OGO gallons at first and Texas 2^,000. Probably nine 3hade3 will be introduced. A meeting will be held later this week to work out further plans.
11391 - PRINTING PLANTS: ' Ur. Hornaday reported that a plan has been worked out whereby printing shops at Acme, S-W, and Lowe Brothers will attempt to do all institution printing they are equipped to handle in order to keop present personnel intact and equipment in use. Ur. Klein will handle production clearance for the three
plants.
