Contractor evaluations are being conducted.
The following activities are in progress for the methanol/acetic shutdown: 1. Policies have been reviewed. 2. Five-minute safety meetings will be improved.
\/ 3. Permits will be ready by 8 A.M. 4. Scaffolds will be reviewed prior to the shutdown.

5. Safety will be emphasized.
6. Special emphasis will be given to securing cylinders.
7. Craftsmen will be given time to clean up at the end of each day.
8. Laborers will be scheduled to clean up during the shutdown.
Drua S Alcohol Abuse
Due to TCR giving contractors a urine test to check for drugs, Monsanto is probably getting a higher percentage of drug using contractors. Initially 50% of TCR's contractors failed the test. Contractor Safety
The script for the 5-minute safety film was reviewed and suggested corrections made.
EPP Drill
The proposed date for the EPP drill is sometime during the week of November 14. Details for the drill were worked out at this meeting.
Safety Shower Freeze Protection
The safety shower freeze protection procedure was handed out for review at the next meeting ([October 17).
