Carr R.J. 1Eckman Re Gawason Following the adaptation of the lead assay method of lead stabilizer of compounds (T.A.M, 4-3), analyses on 3805-D Black compounds have been per formed since April, 1973, Lots 8043296 and 8053299, manufactured in April and May, showed high average lead levels of 0.84% and 0.80% respec tively (Graph X-A attached). The theoretical lead value in the subjectcompound was calculated to be 0.71% (as reported in the referenced memo). The use of a new balance in the Compound Plant for the short weights showed lower results in runs of the compounds starting in June, 1973 (Graphs I and I-A, Table I). While the runs for lots 8073415 and 8083474 showed re sults below the theoretical value, it is noted that less fluctuation occurs within these lots. It is suggested to run analyses on a reduced level once the fume hood in the Analytical Control laboratory has been repaired. W.E.
