Scott Tucker's group has checked the water sample and found 31.7 parts per billion of PCB which Is a close fit to Aroclor 1242. Old Pydraul 312 con tained 47# wt. Aroclor 1242. Amount of Pydraul 312 present would be about 70 parts per billion calculated from these values. Mr. Easery indicated they have found 12 to 19 parts per million oil by the hexane extraction procedure used for assessing water quality. Mr. Easery will send 3 or 4 more samples from the intermittent stream which carries their plant effluent past the farmer's property. If possible, he will sample upstream from their plant, Immediately below their plant, and at a point where other possible sources of oil enter the stream (several service stations). L. R.
