Sample of Dowtherm A/Q will be submitted to the thermal lab for DSC and ARC Test during the 2Q91 - Marcus James 2. We will set-up a meeting with R&D Analytical to discusB the best method of positive identification for our Dowtherm A/Q shipments to Glycol II. Greg Miller, our laboratory technician, will be involved in the meeting. A procedure will be written once a method is established - Hal Martin 3. A meeting with Tech Center, Loss Prevention and Glycol II personnel is scheduled for the week of March 11th to review operating conditions for EO compression section of plant - Marcus James 4. Plan to contact Hugh McLaurin to see if he has suggestons for a testing procedure to positively identify the oil. Will also contact CPI as suggested - Nathan Davis 5. Reactive Chemicals (ARC) testing performed for carbonate solution and methane stripping gas. No thermal activity detected. Will test carbonate and C-360 lube oil in near future. Will contact CPI about positive means of identification for C-360 lube oil Steve Cook 6. Flammability in air data is documented for the pure component ethylene glycols; however, none has been found for the mixtures. On this subject, the tri-reactor effluent (mix of DEG, TEG, TETRA EG and PENTA EG) is of particular interest. A Bample of this effluent will be submitted to R&D, so that auto-ignition temperature and flash point data can be generated.
