York August 10, 1946 Dear Dr. CalingaertJ Mr. Kellogg of the Yonkers laboratory suggested that I write to you for answers to my questions, in regard to burning leaded gasoline in ray carap cook stove. Is it dangerous to burn loaded gas in a caraping cook stove - aside from clogging the generator which can be cleaned frequently? Are fumes given off that would harm a person using the stove? ` Could the lead be inexpensively filtered out? The Xamp-Cook stove claims to have a filter attachment on the generator but they are not available yet. In travelling from place to place it is almost im possible to get "clear" gas.
