Fibre study The
Handling Task Force has completed a detailed
bags comparing the benefits of 3 ply paper bags versus 2 ply paper
for shipping asbestos fibre
The conclusions have shown that there is a substantial reduction
in the frequency of damaged bags Consequently management were
requested and approved the abolition of the 2 ply paper bag
We are now in the throes of using up the remaining stocks of the
2 ply bags Once they have been depleted they are being replaced with 3 ply As a result various of your customers who have been receiving 2 ply bags will eventually start receiving
their shipments in ply For some grades where the supply is
rather limited the conversion will happen very quickly within
the next few weeks For other grades where a larger supply
of 2 ply bags remains it will take somewhat longer Never-
