Johnson *; 7'. k ', * Supplementing my letter of 13 June above subject, it has now*become apparent that the things ve discussed as to the dust survey at this plant and the dangers pointed out in your letter have now become a reality and we are faced, with taking an. exhaustive survey in the very near future. Attached are copies of letters directed to three of our employees i.e. Ruby Howard, James Kikar and Tom Presson which are self-explanatory. I believe that our recent high dust count made by the State has a bearing on the findings of these three cases. In view of this, I believe we should attempt 'to make arrangements with the State Board of Health to have their technicians come to this plant and make a joint survey with you and Mr. Aldridge to try and determine the accuracy of our counts and in what areas we are out of line. I believe we should try to accomplish this the latter part of the week of July 3rd or the week of July 10th. And per your suggestion, I will contact the State Board of Health and see if this is agreeable with them. As discussed, arrangements have been made with the Health Department in Monroe for x-rays of these employees to be forwarded to you for your further study. As for the employees1 work history, Mr. Tom Presson is 61 years of age and has worked at this plant since March 1942. James A.
