March 27* 1933
MrGE* Sanford, General Electric Company* 1 River Road, Schenectady* N.Y. My dear MrSanford!
I am greatly obliged for your letter of February 27* I have Incorporated many of your suggestions with those from other members of the advisory group in the enclosed draft and I am at this time sending this draft to Cameron In the hope that any further changes necessary may be made by him or by the executive board*
I can not feel that it is quite practical to omit all reference to the word silica but have modified the stateoent somewhat in order to remove all possibility of misunderstanding 1 do not believe that we can go into the general questions of dust eontrolrcin the foundry since we have no basis in the form of an organized study of this problem We have been dealing only with air pressure blasting and can not very well combine other suggests with it* As to the substitution of an air flow of 2 cubic feet per minute in the pressure helmet* we could scarcely do thie in view of our definite experimental proof that 6 cubic feet are essential for safety*
Youre very sincerely,
Enc.
C.E.A.Winslow
