I recognize the importance of getting Attorney General Pruitt confirmed and able to direct the Agency in accordance with President Trumps agenda. Flowever, I wanted to reach out to you to reiterate The Fertilizer's Institute strong support for Mr. Pruitt. As discussed, I would like to keep in touch as time draws closer to our Government Affairs Committee Meeting on February 28, 2017 for the potential to have someone from the EPA transition team to brief our members. I realize you and your staff time is extremely limited and this may not be a possibility. We are anxious to continue our work supporting farmers and improving water quality on a voluntary basis utilizing the 4R nutrient stewardship program (Using the right source of fertilizer, at the right rate, at the right time, and in the right place). In 2015, our members employed 1,127 Certified Crop Advisers and have more than 2.3 million acres in the Western Lake Erie Basin alone have been certified under the 4R nutrient stewardship program. Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication to listening the agricultural community. Sincerely, Ed Thomas Ed Thomas Director, Regulatory Affairs The Fertilizer Institute 425 Third Street, SW Suite 950 Washington, DC 20024 (p) 202-515-2714 Sierra Club v.
