This group includes some outstanding firms, as Bethlehem Steel, American Smelting & Refining, Westinghouse Electric, Allegheny-Ludlum Steel, Trenton Potteries, Utilities Research Commission, Standard Sanitary, and OwensIllinois Glass Company. Foundation Facts, our monthly news letter, was completed. This was sent to the members with our monthly abstracts for January which were distributed during the week ./'filth this, the No. 1 issue in a new volume, the abstracts were renamed. Digest of Industrial Hygiene. Several revisions have been made in the make-up in an effort to sharpen the appearance. ' Considerable time was spent in editing the reports and papers for the formal Proceedings of the November meeting. This included a very brief summary of several pages giving "highlights" of the papers presented at the November meeting of a year ago. Finances prevented the publication of the 1938 Proceedings. This gap will be bridged by the terse digest which will be contained in the back of the 1939 Proceedings. The copy was turned over to the printer after a meeting in which we discussed printing mechanics and Dr. Meller outlined instructions for the printer. Part of the week was spent developing basic promotional material and data for the Foundation. This material, still in the formative stage, will be utilised in a number of ways, as a contemplated information circular deidguud to fur ther clarify the work of the Foundation and to refute common arguments advanced ly com panies against Foundation membership.
