I believe that Dr. Boyd now has a clearer understanding of our and OSHA's needs. In fact, I think his letters of Febru ary 8 to you permitting continuation at work of Anderson & Maye were entirely satisfactory. For further explanation I am send ing Dr. Boyd some extracts from the OSHA Lead Standard of 1982 (medical surveillance) and a copy of OSHA's letter to our attorney, William Hall, of September 2, 1983. As neither I nor Dr. Boyd have ever visited your plant, I should like to do so myself, sometime this summer, and if you agree, I should like Dr. Boyd to be invited to visit the plant at the same time. I was rather shocked that he hacT tf?T" knowledge of what we made there, or of the nature of our lead exposures. All he knew was that you belong to the Polymers Division, from your stationery.
