Cooper, Case Worker Mrs. Florence Becker, Supervisor File No. A-1+005 Bland, Oscar and Lucy (Col) 819 'West Seventh Street This is to let you know that Mr. Oscar Bland, a former employee of the Eagle Picher Lead Company, was referred to me by Dr. ^enry Clark, wno believed that Hr. Bland was suffering from lead poisoning. Mr. Bland's complaints were of such sort that they could have been so interpreted, and he had had some con siderable exposure to lead compound. However, I was not able to convince myself that his Illness was due to lead absorption, and it is fair to say that if this was a factor in his illness, it produced only mild symptoias. On the other hand, Mr. Bland had an injury to his left eye, which, in my opinion, was due to an occupational accident, and I referred him, therefore, to Dr. Horace Held, union Central Building, who examined him and who confirmed that opinion. Dr. Reid is making a report and re presentation to the Ohio industrial Commission, and in due time, the claim for compensation will be tendered. I b elieve Dr. Reid will also Institute treatment in an attempt to obtain a partial restoration of Mr. Bland's vision in the left eye. This has taken the case out of my hands, and although I should be glad to be of any possible assistance to Mr, Bland, I think you should obtain further information from Dr. Reid.
