Sabourin The President, Mr. W. J. Johnson, occupied the chair. The President referred to & letter sent to all directors by Ur. X, V. Lindell on April 14th concerning the employwent of a full tine representative of the Association and the establishing of an office in Quebec City as discussed in Sherbrooke, March 25th,. . Considerable discussing followed with some treaters sub-- scribing fully to the proposal vhile others felt that efforts should be made to reduce the fixed annual cost of operating the Association. It is agreed that the Association should take alX necessary precautions to insure the permanence of the industry and improve public relations. Eventually, It is believed, the Association publication, the 'Producer', might emanate from such office at a reduced cost. It is believed that all necessary vork can be done by a P.R. man and & secretary. The estimated cost is given as approxiaately'lSOjOOC.OO p.a, plus travelling. The Incumbent mould be expected to attend all committee meetings.. He will report to the President. With one exception all members favour the establishment of such an office. This member to review again and if the proposal is unanimously accepted, Mr. K. V. Lindell is authorized to finalize negotiations with Ur. P. A. The Treasurer will issue to aeabers a neso shoving the nethod used in deteralsing asaeoazents. Polioring the meeting the President vas advised by the dissident aesber that his coapany accepted the proposal thereby Baking the decision unanicous.
