Specification SS-C-4GGc: Copies of Interim Amendment-1, dated 17 June 1965, to above mentioned specification, were distributed among the Technical Committee members. . This amendment finally brings this specification in line with the recommendations as previously made by the Technical Committee. This matter can be considered closed. 2. Corrosion Test Procedure: Apparently, test procedures are being rewritten. For the time being, we have to await the outcome of a new test method. In the meantime, 17. Maaskant will try to find out and locate the agency in charge of reqriting this test px^ocedure. 3. MiL-Q-9858: Mr. Brandon, Chief Q.uality Assurance, will be invited to our next meeting at Hersbey, Pennsylvania, to give us an outline on MIL-Q-9858. Mr. Sunbury will issue the invitation. 4. Asbestos Cloth Identification: The Technical Committee rejected a suggestion to identify different types of asbestos material by their temperature limitations, rather than by asbestos content percentage, as previously done. Handbook: In coordination with the Sales Promotion Committee, the Technical Committee will review "Asbestos Textile Products", Page 29 - 32. each Technical Committee member will forward his comments to the Chairman for consolidation and review at the next meeting. 6. Specifications: Bureau of Ships, Washington D.C., is working on combining various asbestos insulating specifications. However, it is believed that several pears will pass before this project is finalized. A.T.I. will be contacted for their comments before final printing. Respectfully submitted, V.'.
