DV-113 Transfer To Tank Car 1.0 Objective: 1.1 To remove alcohol from DV-113 for disposition. 2.0 Responsibility: 2.1 It is the responsibility of the operations supervisor and the senior operations specialist to ensure that this procedure is fully complied with. 2.2 It is the responsibility of the senior operations specialist and the operations specialist to ensure that this procedure is executed in a safe and efficient manner. 3.0 Safety Notations: 3.1 Monogoggles and gloves are required when connecting or disconnecting flex hoses and load the tank car. 4.0 Procedure: 4.1 Complete a loading check sheet before beginning to load the tank car. 4.2 Purge the tank car with nitrogen for one hour prior to loading. 4.3 Connect a flex hose from the eb heel line to the bottom of the tank car. 4.4 Leave the dome lid cracked open so the car will not pressure up. 4.5 Some alcohol vapor will be vented during loading. Stay upwind during loading to avoid these fumes. 4.6 Line up P-113 to go to the tank car. Be sure it is blocked in to T-110 and at the jumper line from DV-3. Be sure the heel line in the drumming building is blocked in. 4.7 Once DV-113 is empty, shut down P-113 and blow the heel line from DV-113 into the tank car using nitrogen.
